Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to Questions about buying from a Canadian Automotive Wholesaler at Manheim, Detroit.
Do your Previously Owned Canadian Vehicles come with Warranties?
Answer: Because we are the largest exporter of Canadian trucks, we are able to offer transferrable warranties on all of our vehicles (with the exception of Chrysler). For this reason we typically sell our Chryslers for 1.5K-2K less to make up for the price of an after market warranty.
Are there trade taxes for dealers on vehicles that come from Canadian sources?
Answer: Cars that are made in the US (Ford, Chevy, Dodge) do not come with trade taxes. For this reason, we try to stick primarily to vehicles made in the U.S. As a rule of thumb, if the VIN # starts with a letter, or the numbers 6 or 9, they will have a trade tax.
Do I have to buy from our Used Canadian Auction in person?
Answer: No. Canadian Super Sellers works with Manheim, an established auction, you can simply log into their platform (Simulcast) and purchase online as well.
How do I transport my vehicle from Manheim Detroit to my dealership?
Answer: Transportation of your vehicle is something that Manheim offers, at an additional cost. You also have the option of arranging it through a third party. Contact either our team or Manheim’s Canadian Auction representatives if you want tailored suggestions.
On the run list, what does TP, IN, TR and CR mean?
Answer: TP refers to the type of Top, and whether the vehicle has a Hard Top, Sun Roof, Moon Roof, Panoramic, or Removable Top.
IN stands for Interior, and indicates whether it is Cloth or Leather.
TR stands for Transmission, AT meaning Automatic, and S meaning Standard.
CR is the Condition Report, and is based on a 1-5 scale (5 being the best possible condition).
What happens if I receive my vehicle, and am not happy with it?
Answer: Every situation is dealt with on a case by case basis. If you are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to buy it back from you. Our focus is on doing great, long-term business and creating lasting relationships with our buyers. If you are not completely satisfied, please feel free to contact us.
